Lake Tuggeranong used to be a bit of a Murray Cod hotspot, but over the course of the last few years, fishing quality has taken a bit of a dive.
Although regularly stocked with Yellowbelly, and Murray Cod fingerlings, even the redfin are hard to catch of late.
Mid spring brings on Carp spawning season, leading to a mass migration of carp towards the skate park end of the lake - literally thousands can be seen swimming in the shallows at some times of the year.
Lake Tuggeranong has a small resident population of Yabbies.
