Fingermark: also refered to as Golden Snapper.
Fingermark is a member of the Lutjanus family which also include Mangrove Jack. These fish are commonly encountered in river systems and headlands as juveniles and migrate to offshore reefs as they mature.Ranging from Bundaberg and across the top end into Western Ausralia the Fingermark can grow to 15kg.
Bait: These fish find it hard to refuse a well presented fresh squid] or prawn bait (live preferably).Being a member of the same family the methods of catching Mangrove Jack can also be used.
